MAASFEP will honor up to three individuals a year who have shown exemplary leadership at the local and state level in accomplishing the goal of closing the achievement gap while raising achievement for all students. Nominees will have demonstrated leadership in one or more of the following areas:
- Advances in use of data to inform instruction and program design;
- Program design / implementation;
- Professional development;
- Advocacy for students, families and / effective public education.
Nominations will be accepted until December 1, 2010 and will be announced in January 2011. Schools will be honored at the Spring 2011 MAASFEP Conference.
